Russia’s Kinolikbez to host 9 Iranian films

Nine Iranian films have been set to participate at the upcoming edition of the Kinolikbez Film Festival in Russia.

‘The Sea Swells’ directed by Amir Gholami, Mohammad Bakhshi’s ‘Are You Volleyball?!’, and ‘999999999’ by Karim Azimi are among the nine films to represent Iran at the 10th edition of the Kinolikbez Film Festival slated for next month.

Mahboubeh Kalaee’s ‘One Person’ and ‘Sink’ will also be featured at the event.

The remaining Iranian films are ‘Rainy Recollections' (Khaterat-e Barani) by Masoud Qodsieh, ‘Watch Me!’ directed by Reza Mehranfar, ‘Nahal’ by Mahyar Mandegar and ‘Inversion’ by Amir-Hossein Riahi.

The Kinolikbez is dedicated to independent experimental films of all genres and forms, including documentary and animation.

The festival reportedly provides a platform for young and creative directors, actors and screenwriters to share, evaluate and discuss each other’s ideas.

The 10th edition of the Kinolikbez Film Festival will take place in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg on July 3-7, 2019.
